SEMCO - Engineer II
The Engineer II, under supervision, is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and analysis of engineering functional activities.
You Will Performs a variety of moderately complex engineering work in the planning, design, monitoring, and evaluation of meter, regulator, and compressor facilities, gate stations, distribution and/or transmission pipeline projects, environmental, and other industrial processes.
Updates, calculates and/or analyzes flow meters for economics, increased efficiency, and recommendation of new methods and quality improvements of special projects.
Supports various project teams for the improvement of company systems / technology.
Assists in assessing construction projects to determine the project’s cost estimates, designs and specifications.
Performs system analysis, flow modeling and recommends process improvements.
Assists in the completion of projects within business requirements, time and budget guidelines, including the analysis of construction layout, equipment design, specifications, and research, preparation of presentation materials, development of recommendations, project implementation, monitoring, and revision as necessary.
Provides on-going recommendations for operating efficiencies after project implementation.
Demonstrates a good knowledge of existing Company standards and work procedures.
Develops Company standards and work procedures as necessary.
Prepare special reports and presentations as necessary.
Performs calculations or maintains documentation for regulatory code compliance and department records.
Demonstrates a good knowledge of the Michigan Gas Safety Standards.
Demonstrates a basic knowledge of electrical installation requirements and control and monitoring requirements for various gas installations.
Acts as a Company liaison with government, environmental & regulatory agencies, and other utilities.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
Makes regular reports to the Supervisor of Engineering / Regional Operations Supervisor.
You Have: Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent.
EIT desired.
Minimum of one to three years of related work experience In addition to our standard benefits package, the base salary will range from $73,000 - $85,000, depending upon experience.
