Seeking a Full Time Intervention Specialist at The Harbor, a program of Comprehensive Youth Services
Position: Full-time Intervention Specialist
Hours: 4pm-12am
Requirements: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, TB test
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, experience working with youth preferred
Must pass MDHHS background check

The Harbor is a youth runaway and homeless shelter.
Intervention Specialists must supervise the clients in their care at all times and ensure safe and appropriate behavior.
The full-time intervention specialist will be the shift lead and will ensure all job tasks are completed to program standards.
Typical Client Related Responsibilities Include:
Completion of client intake or discharge
Shift Documentation
Provide families with referrals to community partners
Monitor clients consistently and correct behaviors accordingly
Assist clients with life skill activities, schoolwork, and daily routine
Transportation of clients
Assist with medical needs, pass medications, and provide needed first aid
Follow posted menu to provide meals and monitor clients eating habits
Follow posted schedule for daily activities, supervise educational needs, life-skill groups, cleaning, and activities
Answer crisis calls and provide necessary crisis intervention
Monitor and provide for residents needs for clothing, hygiene, linens, etc.
Complete bed-checks and routine interventions on shift as required
Typical Program Duties:
Complete staff trainings in a timely manner, participate in staff meetings and supervisions
Complete Daily schedule of required staff duties and ensure house is clean
Assist in the compliance of all federal, state, and local licensing requirements and health and fire regulations to ensure that the premises are safe, clean, and secure.
Follow through on direct requests from supervisors
Assist with training, supervising, and providing feedback to intervention specialists
Be available to provide shift coverage or emergency coverage outside of regular schedule
Perform other duties as directed by manager to allow the program to function at its maximum level
