*Retail Store Associate* *Job Description* Goodwill Industries of St.
Clair County is hiring part-time Retail Store Associates for our Fort Gratiot location.
We are looking for dependable sales associates who possess effective and professional communication skills in dealings with customers, supervisors, and co-workers.
Must be responsible for achieving excellent customer service, and stay up-to-date with procedures while maintaining our store’s visual appearance and cleanliness in high standards.
*Qualifications* * High School Diploma or equivalent preferred * Must have reliable transportation and proven record of attendance * Must be able to pass a criminal background check * Must be able to pass a drug test.
*Physical Expectations* * Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, lift, reach, push and pull * Ability to perform repetitive hand motions *Responsibilities* * Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service * Receiving, sorting, handling, pricing and selling donations * Follow and achieve department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis * Assist in stocking/merchandising sales floor * Maintain and operate sales equipment properly and accurately * Comply with inventory control procedures * Follow opening and closing procedures * Maintain a clean and operable work environment * Remain knowledgeable of and promote Goodwill's Mission * Knowledge of Health and Safety Guidelines *Skills* * Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices * Basic Math skills * Hands-on experience with POS transactions * Familiarity with inventory procedures * Solid communication and interpersonal skills * A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus * Ability to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum customer satisfaction * Availability to work flexible shifts.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: $10.
