OVERVIEW
Responsible for the supervision of the accounting professionals in an assigned area of the department.
Leads most day to day operations of the team.
Responsible for reconciling and analyzing general ledger accounts to ensure accurate and timely recording of activity.
Assist with the completion of special projects for the strategic benefit of the department and/or company.
RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
1.
Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews, and presenting development opportunities.
2.
Manage the workflow of staff members to ensure deadlines are met.
Assign duties to staff members to achieve balanced workloads matched appropriately with skill levels and abilities.
3.
Reconcile all bank accounts and analyze various General Ledger accounts.
4.
Establish and maintain strong business relationships; excellent communications with both internal and external business partners.
5.
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
6.
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
7.
Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
8.
Manage Month-End and Year-End Close process.
9.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
10.
Assist the Chillbox management staff of other Chillbox departments with the review of their department's Financial Statements, researching and resolving questions questions/concerns.
11.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
12.
Oversee the company’s bookkeeping practices, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business related preferred
Proven working experience as a Financial Accountant.
5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience with creating financial statements.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
